THANK YOU for answering my Post. I am sorry I was not very plain in asking for information.I will try to do better this time.
Did George Ruddell, Sr. leave family records? The article I copied said he did.
I wish I could find copies of the deposition that John Ruddell and Elizabeth Wagner gave 15 April 1861.Was Elizabeth Wagner or Wagnor a daughter of George Ruddell, Sr.?Who was John Ruddell?
I am interested in Susannah Baker and Abram Ruddell who were the parents of Nancy, Polly and Isaac Ruddell.Nancy, Polly and Isaac Ruddell were raised by their grandfather, George Ruddell, decd. and remained in said family until the marriage of said Polly and Nancy.Polly married William Wood and both died with out issue.Isaac Ruddell married and has since died, leaving his son George Ruddell, now a minor under the age of 21 years, as his only heir at law, and is now a resident of the county of Independence, and that William Byars, of Batesville, is his guardian. (William Byars was an Attorney, I believe) Nancy Ruddell married a man by the name of John M. Musick or Jack Musick, Nancy Musick died about the year 1832, leaving her husband and John Redman Musick, William G. Musick and Susannah Musick, her children as her only heirs at law;Susannah Musick m. a man named Bilew
I believe that John M. Musick husband of Nancy Ruddell Musick was a son of Asa Musick who died in Independence Co., AR about 1818.John M. Musick died in Cook Co., TX in 1861.Asa's wife Elizabeth died in Independence Co. about 1823.They left minor children.I have never been able to find information on the children of Asa Musick. An old history of the Lewis Family written my Merriweather Lewis in the late 1800s said that Asa Musick's son John Musick m. a Ms. Riddle, and died in Texas.Asa Musick owned a Mill in Independence Co. when he died and I believe (as others do) that this was the same Mill later owned by George Ruddell.Abraham Ruddell was one of the Administrators of Asa Musick's estate in Independence Co., AR.Asa Musick had the following children:
It is interesting too that George Ruddell's Texas Land Grant was in Cherokee Co., TX.Robert B. Musick had a early Texas Land Grant in Cherokee Co., TX. Robert Musick was in Independence Co., AR in 1815 then Hempstead Co., AR. then he went to Texas and died there in 1829.Some of the same names of people mentioned in George Ruddell's probate records in Nacagdoches Co. are the same as were associated with Robert Musick in Cherokee Co., TX.
Do you know or have any information that would help me track the Musicks mentioned above?I sure would appreciate it.
I am still not being very plain am I?Do you have a list of descendants of George Ruddell, Sr.Do you recognize any of the names I have mentioned?
