The R. Q. Ruffner comes from the 1852 Hannibal City Directory where it lists the city officials.R. Q. was a first ward councilman. I have a woman who thinks he is buried in a private family cemetery on the North edge of Hannibal. She has never found any thing to prove this. I can't find anythhing that ties the Ruffner's to this piece of land. A friend of mine lived there in 1977-1997 and never saw any stones. He was a child at the time and was all over the 20 acres in the tract.
