A biography/family history of Raymond L. Ruhle is included in "Montana, Its Story and Biography", Vol 2.
Raymond was born, 7 Sep 1881, to L.T. & Carrie (Mesenger) Ruhle, natives of Germany & Kansas, respectively. L.T. was born 1853 & came to the home of his brother, Robert, in New York City, in 1865. After completing his education in NYC, he located to NV & then Butte, MT, where he died in 1919.
Raymond graduated from Butte HS, 1898, and graduated from the Rolla, Missouri, School of Mines, 1901. He went for a year to Mexico where he was a mining operator and prospector. Raymond returned to Butte and was a miner and an assayer. He was subsequently the superintendent of the county poor of Silver Bow County, MT. In 1907 became vice president of James A. McKee Printing Company.
In 1911, Butte, MT, Raymond married Miss Jessie Budd, daughter of H.O & Lizzie Budd, who lived on a ranch near Butte: Ruhle children: Mary Lou, June, Raymond.
