I have found a little information on the other children of Jacob Rummel and Elizabeth Ernst.
Michael Rummel married Magdalena Erhard and lived in Philadelphia.I have children: Michael (b. 1750- ; Elisabeth (b. 1752- ;Catarina D (b. 1753- ; Catherine (b. 1754- ; Jacob (b. 1760- ; Margretha (1764-1765); and George (b. 1766-Is this your line?(Caterina and Catherine may be a duplication)
The Jacob Rummel and Elizabeth Ernst daughter was Elizabeth (b. c1730- ..) who married, 1750, Casper Weber (Weaver), and lived in Westmoreland Co PA.I have children:Valentine, Catherine, Margaret, Peter, John and Frederick.
I have found very minimal information on Frederick Rummel:
Frederick RUMMEL....m. 4 Apr 1771...Anna Elizabeth GEISELMAN b. c1732............................b. 12 Feb 1749York PA d. 1822 f. Jacob Rummel.....................f. Michael Geiselman m. Elisabetha Ernst.................m. Marie Whlemina Frinsh ch:................................. 1/h 1766, Adam Uhler ....Michael.....(1772- ....Elisabeth...(1774-
Per above - I have no son George for Frederick - and it looks like he married late in life - or he had an earlier first wife of whom I have no information.I have nothing more on his children.
If you noticed - I give no maiden name for Catherine, wife of George.
Fran Rummel found that Catherine Shedron became the wife of a Peter Geutling, and had children by him during the same years that George and Catherine Rummel had children. The mistaken naming of her as wife of my George Rummel was because they were both named as sponsors at the baptism of Catherin Elizabeth, daughter of Jacob Rummel Jr and Salome Schwinck, 1752, York Co PA - someone thus made a false connection.
My George's eldest, Sophia (married Jacob May), was born about 1752, so George may have been already married (we have no marriage date).
I have collected the descendants of George and Catherine (incomplete - but I have some on most of the families up to the mid 1900s) - I have a CD of the families, indexed, of all the names I have.I have not finished work on it, since some marriages were to kin in other George Rummel lines, and I have not yet separated the lists, so there are some family lines that are duplicated both in the lists and in the index.I want to limit the duplicated lists to the male line, but some of the famale lines have more information than I found on the male line - so I have work ahead of me.
I'm going to try to have it completed for the Rummel Reunion (Nappanee IN) in August.I would be glad to exchange information - and possibly get a more complete collection.
I've gone back to doing part-time preaching, so I have less time here - and I'm getting older
