Garry Runge & Elizabeth Ipsen, My sirname "Rungie" is a derivatrion of the original "Runge" having been changed in 1937 by my grandfather. We have researched our family tree back to 1622.Our ancester Jobst Heinrich Runge, his wife and baby daughter arrived in Adelaide, South Australia in 1846 from Hoya near Bremen in northern Germany.Although not connected to your ancestry lines, I am interested in your progress. There is a town in Texas called Runge which has a Runge museum, in which we have included a copy of our branch of the tree. Also there is a substantial book called "The Runge Cronicle a German Saga of Success" by Henry J. Hauschild. Victoroia, Texas. Published 1990 of which I have a copy if you are interested in the American side.
