"LORRAINE KATHRYN CARLSON, 85, of Westbrook, died Saturday, May 20, 2006, at Westbrook Hospital.
Born Aug. 9, 1920, in Rosehill Township, Cottonwood County, she was the daughter of Edward and Mathilda Rupp Hubin. She married Ivan “Bud” Carlson May 23, 1941, at her parents’ home.
She received her early education in rural school district 51, and then attended Westbrook High School and Mankato State College. Following marriage, the couple lived on a farm north of Westbrook for 34 years. They retired and moved to Westbrook in 1975. She was a charter member of Westbrook Hospital Auxiliary and was an active member of the church’s ladies aid and belonged to several clubs. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Westbrook.
Surviving are her husband; three daughters, Judy (Roger) Storey, Faribault, Janice Carlson, Minneapolis, and JoAnn (Rolf) Hanson, Tracy; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Westbrook Funeral Home, and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church, Westbrook.
The service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church, Westbrook. Burial is in Westbrook Cemetery.
