I normally do not read the Ruscoe bulletin board, so this is a very belated message. But I may be able to cast some light on the original question. My wife's grandmother, Minola Adams, had an older sister, Grace Adams. Grace married George I. Rusoe to whom she bore seven children. George was born 29 March 1855 and was the son of George Ruscoe and Hannah Esther Brown. George the father was the eldest son of James Ruscoe and ?. He had four brothers, Andrew J. "Doc", Charles H., Cyrus, and Floyd T. and two sisters, Mary E. and Harriet. I'm not certain where all lived and died but it was in the area that includes South Salem (Lewsiboro), Pound Ridge, both in New York, and New Canaan, Connecticut. George I and his wife, Grace are buried in Lakeview Cemetery, New Canaan, Connecticut along with several of their chiildren. George I became a land developer and built a number of residential developments in Westchester and Fairfield Counties. He also had summer home on Lake Waccabuc, just north of South Salem, a lake on whose shores he built a number of homes.
