Russo mystery, with data
One of my most stubborn brick walls has to do with my paternal grandmother, Rosina Russo. She was born to Italian immigrants in Paterson NJ in 1882.
For years I could find no official trace of her birth, her parents' arrival in the States, their death, or the orphanage where she landed. Recently a single clue led to her baptismal notation in a church registry in New Jersey, which in turn led to a number of discoveries small and (maybe) large. I've written the story out and included data and citations here: http://www.rosinalippi.com/genealogy/2012/08/26/rosina-russo/http://www.rosinalippi.com/genealogy/2012/08/26/rosina-russo/
I would appreciate any thoughts or insights.
