This is what I may have have on the family you requested.I haven't been able to prove a connection to this family yet.I think there may be but again I haven't been able to prove it so I have left it hanging in my file.
I hope this helps some of you.
Descendants of Thomas Rutledge
Generation No. 1
1.THOMAS1 RUTLEDGE was born in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, and died in Augusta Co., Virginia. He married JEAN ARMSTRONG in County Tyrone,Northern Ireland, daughter of JAMES ARMSTRONG.
Notes for THOMAS RUTLEDGE:
March 10, 1999 -- I have just detached Thomas from George and Nellie Gamble Rutledge. It wasn't proven that there was any relationship at this point anyway.Plus the dates just don't match up with the Will of Thomas husband of Jean.I will have to find more source information to straighten things out, in the meantime I think there is some connection but I don't know what it is yet to either Armstrong or Rutledge in my file.
Other sources given to me by Jim Small of Peoria IL.... (1705-1791)
1. LDS Virginia IGI index lists all the children born in VA, parents are listed with them. index pages are from 27,938 to 27,944.It also does not list the marriage of the parents since they were born and married in Ireland. The first four children also are not listed.
