Hello,
As we are also interested in the Sabey families in Bedfordshire, we have transcribed all the births, marriages and deaths for Sabeys in Bedfordshire up to 1812(except for Luton, Chicksands and Campton). I have looked at these lists and have been unable to find a Joseph born at that time anywhere in Bedfordshire. However, I do know that Roxton Parish Registers are very patchy at the time you need (my Sabeys are 'lost' in Roxton at this time.) It maybe that your Joseph came from there. After all it is not all that far from Colmworth where Joseph & Katherine had children or Goldington where Joseph & Katherine came from. I have looked for wills in Bedfordshire for Sabeys at this time but there is only the will for a John Sabey alias Saville in Colmworth 1674. It maybe worth looking for Saville births incase this alias continued for a generation. The will reference is AR 1674: 1/64d (in case you have use for it later). By the way my ancesters are the ones belonging to Peter Sabey in Roxton. If you come across any of these in your research please let me know. Thanks.
