Thanks for that info Alan.
I think it's more likely than not that Harriet is the sister of Thomas Saggers (born 1826).He was a carpenter by trade, which matches that of Harriet's father, and I have long suspected that the father of my Thomas Saggers was also called Thomas Saggers, I just haven't yet proven it.
While the primary occupation of Thomas was a carpenter, curiously his occupation was given as a baker on his first son's birth certificate.I have always seen this as an anomaly and was interested to see that you had recorded a Mary Saggers whose occupation was given as a cook. While baker and cook are not quite the same thing, there could be a connection here too.
If you could send me a copy of the marriage cert you have I would be most grateful. My email address is [email protected].
I will do some more research over the next couple of weeks using the info you have as a guide.Hopefully, I can find something to prove the connection.I will let you know.
Regards
Michael Saggers
