The following is a copy of the will of Sarah J. Rennolds from Essex County Will Book 12, p. 596.The copy I have is very poor and can not be read will due to soiling.This is a very short will.
In The Name of God Amen:Sarah Rennolds...being...weak of body, but of perfect sense and memory thanks be to God...in the manner Following hoping through the merits of my...my Almighty God.Item after my Debts and Funeral Expenses...mumdaughter Mary Sale half of my Estate; my waring close and crops of corn and...unto her the whole of it, Item the other half I give to my sons John Rennolds and Robert Rennolds to be Equally Divided between them, and Lastly I do appoint my two sons John Rennolds and Robert Rennolds and my son in law Leonard Sale my Executors.In Witness whereof I hear unto set my hand and fix my seal this Thirtieth Day of August 1774.
