This is just too coincidental in terms of names and dates to not somehow be related to Hannah Jones/Blackburn/Sale, widow of William Sale, who is referred to by all 4 names in Cornelius Sale's Will, Essex Co, VA d. 3 Apr 1745...
Marriage Bonds/ Middlesex County VA:
Feb 23 1744: Churchill Jones and Milisent Blackburne; Elizabeth Blackburne's consent to daughter's marriage
Aug 27 1743 Charles Jones and Hannah Blackburn
Jan __ 1763 Thomas Saunders and Mary Blackburn, widow.
In Middlesex Court Records their is a suit (Blackburn vs. Blackburn/Saunders that informs us that: 1)William Blackburn died aft. Nov 1748 leaving wife Mary, who is "now Mary Saunders, wife of Thos." 2)Churchill Jones conducted business for Mary Blackburn until his death. (He lived ca. 1720 - 1786, Middlesex Co,VA) His wife Millicent --see marriage record above-- lived 1726-1751. 3)The record states that Churchill Jones was the BROTHER of Mary Blackburn --so her maiden name was MARY JONES> 4)William & Mary Blackburn had at least:son William (filing suit) named as "eldest son"; Roger Blackburn "of tender years"; and Mary Blackburn "of tender years".
So here's a theory... Could it be that Hannah was born a Blackburn, then married William Sale, who died before 1743.She then could have gone home to Middlesex where she married Charles Jones using her maiden name, before being referenced in Cornelius Sale's will, dated 3 Apr 1745 as "Hannah (Jones) Sale Blackburn".
