Clerkâs office of the Court of Ordinary.
WHEREAS William Godfrey has ap-
plied for the for the letters of administration
on the estate of Joseph Salis [Sallis] a deceased
major, late of this county.
Now therefore, these are to cite and admonish
all and singular the kindred and creditors of the
said deceased, and all others concerned, to
appear at my of-fice within the time prescribed
by the law to enter their objections (if any they
have) why said letters should not be granted.
Given under my hand and seal under [sic]
this 4th Jan. 1819.

Explanation: William Godfrey married Mrs. Aisley Sallis on
13 Nov. 1817. The event took place in Warren Co., GA. Additional info: The name 'Aisley Godfrey' appeared on the 1799-tax list for Norfolk, VA. She was listed as the head of her own household.
