Either my book is pretty outdated, or its just incorrect. In here, it shows Thomas L. as marrying Louise Howard. His sone, Thomas R Salyers Married Louisa Barnett. (dau. of William Barnett). and they went on to have 11 children.
Heres what I have from the book. I know its kinda old,(Sept. 1981) so it could be wrong...Its from the Macgoffin County Historical Society.
John Salyer b. July 22, 1803. He married Mary "Polly" Wadkins b. Aug 11 1805. (dau. of Thomas Wadkins). Their children: A. Thomas L. Salyer b.nov 20 1823 d. feb 3 1905. He was married 3 times. Elizabeth Allen. E. Wiley Salyer b. sep 21 1834 d. feb 17 1915 (married twice, Maragaret "peggy" Minix and Betty Ann Hensley).
So yes, this makes Thomas L. and Wiley Salyers brothers. As for your line, I have this info:

Ok. thats what I have. Im not saying that your data is wrong, Im just saying that it doenst match what I have. I just copied mine out the Historical Society's book because I figured that would be the most accurate source. Please compare this info to yours and let me know whats going on with these people. Its quite possible that either you, or the Historical Society has confused Thomas L. and his brother Wiley with Thomas R. and his brother Wiley at some point or another.Hope this helps!
