Vonda Mae Miller, 93, of Kingsport, Sullivan Co TN, went
to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 14, 2009, at
Brookhaven Manor in Kingsport.
Mrs. Miller was born in Glamorgan, VA, on July 28, 1916.
She was the daughter of the late Leonard Bolling and Mary
Salyers Bolling. She was a member of Midfield Freewill
Baptist Church. Vonda loved going to the Senior Citizens’
Center and was a very happy lady who loved life. She was a
loving mother, grandmother and friend.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by
her husband, Kermel; and one son, David Kennedy.
Surviving are five daughters, Anna Jean Dietrich and
husband, George of Bluefield, VA, Nancy Bevins and husband,
Hubert of Kingsport, TN, June Vaughn and husband Fred of
Zebulon, NC, Glenna Hill of Kingsport, TN, and Judy Frazier
and husband Ed of Mt. Carmel, TN; two sons, Ron Miller and
wife Ollie, and Dennis Miller and wife Nancy, both of
Kingsport, TN; grandchildren, George, Denise, Randy,
Debbie, David, Dwight, Daniel, Anthony, Darlene, Jeff,
Michael, Vicki, Kristi, Edward, Sherry, Renee, Kevin and
Justin; thirty great-grandchildren; and four great-great-
grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 17,
2009, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., in the J. Wayne Hamilton
Memorial Chapel of Oak Hill Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow with Rev. Joe Hill officiating.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 18,
2009, at 11 a.m., in the Garden of Everlasting Life at Oak
Hill Memorial Park. Family and friends should meet at
10:45 a.m., at the gravesite.
A Funeral Attendant will be at the cemetery gates to direct
you to the Garden of Everlasting Life.
