Eva Sample md. Clayton Ennes abt 1905
I am searching for Eva Sample, parents and birth unknown. She had two sisters, Leah and May, and a brother Roy. she md. clayton ennes abt 1905, and had two children, Lenora Grace Ennes, and Dale Ennes.
I have copied my great-grandmother's notes on the family below: if you can help, please do.
"Members of the Sample family:
Granddad Sample was married twice.Children of the first family were Julia, Rena and Walter.Children of the second family were Eva, Leah, May and Roy.Rena and May were registered nurses (RN’s) at Greeley Hospital, Greeley Colorado.Granddad Sample was a farmer in Kansas.
Rena was an RN, but later became a chiropodist. She lived in Redlands, California. She had an apartment there and an office in connection. She made a good living and traveled some. She is buried in Redlands.Grandpa Sample is also buried there in Redlands.Aunt Rena never married. She had cancer of both breasts and later cancer of a hip.I believe Grandpa Sample had a stroke. He lived into his eighties.
My dad died at seventy-eight.He had some heart problems and a stroke.
Leah Sample helms lived in Detroit, Michigan. She was very senile at the end of her life and was in a nursing home several years. She did not have any children. She died in her seventies, I believe.
Roy Sample was killed. He was shot, I believe. He was quite a wealthy man. He had several theatres in Casper, Wyoming.I really never knew about his death.
May Jacobs died in Yuma, Arizona. She had one son, Isador who died soon after her death.I believe he was an alcoholic. His father, Dr. Jacobs, was a Jewish man.He was shot and killed by a man who said he was having an affair with his wife.Dr. Jacobs served in World War I in Europe for several years.
Walter Sample married late in his fifties, I guess. His wife had a grown family. They were very happy it seemed. He died in his seventies, I believe.
Julia lived in St. Louis, Missouri.Julia married and had several children.I never knew her.
I remember Grandfather Sample as a medium height man.He had very dark hair and eyes.Black hair.He was very friendly. He visited Aunt Rena quite often. He was of medium build; not fat.He was a strong man; an outdoor type.
Roy Sample and his wife, Maria, never had children.I remember they brought me a lovely doll and carriage.(Melinda has the doll.)He too was medium build and short; not dark like his father and fair complexion.
Rena’s complexion was like her father and she was about 5 feet 5 inches, I believe. My mother [Eva] was fair with brown eyes. (I’m not sure about the eyes.)May’s were blue."
