Isaac Newton Bowers, SR. married Letitia Sanderlin, in Raleigh, Shelby Cty, TN. about 1869.
In the 1880 Census for Wichita Cty., TX living with Isaac and Letitia are her brother Frank Sanderlin age 25, born in TN, and a Herman Kegall age 21 born in Germany, also Henry J. Riekert age 22 and Laura C. Riekert age 25 both born in PA. Could Kegall and Riekert be mispelled does anyone have any information on this line.
This is the information I have on Letitia is this:
Letetia's parents died in the Yellow Fever Epidemic, she went to live with David Oloughlin, founder of Raliegh College at Raliegh, TN, she was teaching at this school when she married. Her parents were born in VA.
The following excerpts are from "Memory Cups of Panhandle Pioneers" by Millie Jones Porter, published by Clarendon Press, Clarendon, Texas, 1945.
The author tells this story about Letitia Bowers:"Mrs. I. N. Bowers, Sr., after her children were grown and I.N. died, married a man from Canada a Mr. Morrow. Morrow was killed and she may have later married a Rev. Wright.
In the 1920 Census Letitia Morrow was in the household of her son, David, and shown as widowed.
