A Sandlin (any spelling) DNA (paternal) group has been set up on Ancestry.com.The objective is to determine if there is a common paternal ancestor(s) that started the various Sandlin lines, and who was that common ancestor, and how and when he arrived in the colonies. The Sandlin DNA group currently has three members, 2 Sandlins and a Sandiland. The DNA test for these members was the Y-46.
If you are a Sandlin (any spelling) or have a Sandlin in your ancestry, and have had a DNA Y-46 test done, by Ancestry or any other DNA testing organization, you are invited to join the Sandlin DNA group. If your DNA testing was done by Ancestry, its pretty easy to join the group. If you had your DNA testing done by another organization, your DNA results (markers) will have to be entered manually.
Ancestry paying members can go the go to the DNA page, search for the Sandlin DNA group, and join. I have instructions from Ancestry for how non-Ancestry paying members can join the DNA group as guests, and how to manually enter DNA results from non-Ancestry organization.
Email me if you want to join and need instructions. Thanks
