In Wake Co., NC records I come across my husband's ancestor, William Reeves (Rives/Reaves) in 1790 census adj. to a William Sandey. This William Sandey had 1 male above 16, one female and no slaves.Earlier in the Wake Co., NC records William REeeves was exor. oif a Jarred Sandy dec'd and he returned an inventory of the decedants estate which was proved and ordered to be recorded. This was somewhere around 1795...I didn't notice the court minutes might be had several pages before the pages I copied, with the date, this record was from the Wake Co., NC Court Minutes, pg. 184dtd. 1794 so the one of Jarred Sandy was 192, so not long after the 1794 and most likely in that year. I do not know who the William is in 1790 as he is childless. Perhaps William Sandey is William Jarred Sandey? Close to the one you are looking for.- I didn't look for other Sandey's in the county, just William Reeves.
