It seems that Sarthous all over the world are searching for their roots.
Just let me say this. While roots surely makes one more grounded and more certain of his or her footing in this world, perhaps the more important thing should be to create your own roots wherever you may be.In the Philippines, we Sarthous have always been one with the rest of our countrymen in fighting for a better quality of life for all, perhaps consistent with mission of that alleged original Sarthou who came over from France, and who was said to be a member of the nobility in Spain, sent here by the Queen to fix the troubles in this country. After over a century, the Sarthous are still here and we're still doing the same thing. In the process, we're burying our roots even deeper, in our fair nation which we fondly call Pilipinas.
Whatever you may be doing, Sarthou, and wherever you may be, you must remember that it should still be incumbent upon any member of our clan to throw all of his energies and fortunes towards making better his little corner of the world. Our family's history seems to be indicative of this general inclination. At times, doing this would take entail much sacrifice, and may take heavy tolls on our sometimes not too substantial resources. But believe me when I say thatall of the sweat and the tears will always be worth the effort.
An idea.Perhaps it may be good to start an e-group, if someone with the time and the inclination can take the initiative. Technology being as it already is, there is perhaps no longer any excuse for the members of our bloodline to stay apart from each other, notwithstanding the very intuitive comment of Lisa Zimnisky that ours is a very fragmented family, with many deep resentments. It is only now that I am able to understand why this is, but at the same time I am becoming stronger in the opinion that this state of affairs need not be.Blood is blood.Let's come together, and see how we like each other.Regardless of race, creed, religion, power, or social standing.
May I forward the prayer, then, that Sarthous all over the world shun any more animosity from this date, and get together as any good clan should.
