My name is Jason Brown. My grandfather was Joseph Saso from Canarsie Brooklyn, NY.He just passed away this Thanksgiving at 95 years old.
Our family spells Saso with one "S" as well.I was also told that if I ever found a Saso with one "S" we are probably related.
My grandfather's family was from Sicily. He was the youngest of 8 childen. From what I understand, one of his sisters was sent back to Sicily at a young age, to be given to part of the family that was childless.
I remember my grandfather telling me that we had relatives in California that were Sasos as well.I dont remember how the California Sasos are related.I think they may have been my grandfathers cousins.
I just found this site while looking up his name.I figured that I would send an email, as Saso with one "S" is not the common spelling. It would be interesting to see if we are linked together.
I can be reached at [email protected]
Thanks
Jason Brown
