I just tried to send you this note via E-mail but your address must have changed over the past year. Here it is as I wrote it.I'm copying and pasting it.
I came across some of your postings on GenForum from a year ago and had to write because your line of Sauls is definitely the same as my husband's.I probably don't have any more information than you do except for the James Sauls (William's brother) line.My two sister's-in-law still live in Cobb County.I would love to exchange information about our family.I have your William listed as "Bill" born 1844 to Henry and Winnie Sauls.I have their birth dates 1814 and 1817, respectively.Henry and Winnie had five sons:John Henry, b. 1842; Bill, b. 1844; James Thomas, b. 1847; Pinkney, b. 1849; and George (no birth date).James did have a peg leg.My husband remembers his principal at Robert L. Osborne School, Cobb Co., Georgia, calling him in the office (this was probably in the 1950s) and showing him a picture of his great grandfather with the peg leg that he had found in a book.I asked my husband "What book?", but he was too young to remember or even care.
