If I understand you correctly, you are saying the following:
John Jacob Sauls & brother James Sauls were children from Samuel and not from John & Sarah (Sineth) Sauls.
I am willing to entertain this idea, because I've been wrong before. Here are some facts to consider: 1. After John J. Sauls passed away, the court contacted his brother James who was residing in Orangeburg, S.C.James returned a letter to the court with the following content (date: July 28, 1903): http://www.andersonconnection.org/report28/pi01/010.pdfhttp://www.andersonconnection.org/report28/pi01/010.pdf 2. There is only ONE James Sauls residing in Orangeburg, S.C. during this time.I am in contact with one decendant from that line. She states this James Sauls having the parents of John & Sarah (Sineath) Sauls. She states she has the official document of his death certificate that shows these names.I've requested it from her, but she did not respond and this was a year or two ago. 3. We also track this family by census and it seems to add up with dates/places/names.
I do not doubt there might have been a Samuel Sauls, but I'd like to know more about him.Can you tell me a Census where I can find him and his children in N.C.?
Again, I'm just giving you what I know, but I do want to ensure we get a firm clarification so as not to mislead our visitors coming to my site for SAULS genealogy.
