Yes, the mystery however, is that there is no Napoleon Sauve listed as a son of Albert Sauve of Curran Ontario. Furthermore, the mystery is deepened when I noticed that a Gedeon who is listed as a son of Albert, m. Marie Rosa Lalonde. My father will swear up and down that his grandmother was Rosa Lalonde, and his grandfather was named Napoleon. Is it possibly that Gedeon is Napoleon, and that Marie Rosa is Rosa? I at first thought this may explain the family secrecy...possibly something happened and a name change or something happened on the Sauve side. I then checked up Gedeon on the same web site. It lists his burial place as St. Luc, Curran, Prescott County, Ontario. My father says his grandfather is buried in Facet Quebec along with his wife and my grandfather. He also told me that Napoleon had a sister, who became a nun, but died at a young age (in here early 20s). All we know is that her name was Simone Sauve. I have noted that her name does not show up for the Albert Sauve. I have also found out that a cousin of my grandfather also owned a furniture store in Curran Ontario, but no names or dates...sigh.
I can’t seem to place anyone of my known family on that web site.
