DANIEL, EDWARD, ISAAC & JAMES SAVAGE, JR. OF WOOLWICH, ME

The Woolwich Historical Society published a genealogy book "The Founding Fathers of Woolwich, Maine and Their Families" in October. Daniel, Edward, Isaac, and James Savage Jr., s/o James & Christian (HUNTER) SAVAGE, are featured in this book. Daniel was b. ca. 1729 probably in Georgetown (now Phippsburg), ME & d. Jan. 1, 1795 Hallowell (now Augusta), ME. He 1st, Elizabeth Robinson intentions recorded on Nov. 16, 1753 Georgetown (now Woolwich. He m. 2nd, Anne JOHNSON on Aug. 7, 1766 Hallowell. He had seven children by his first wife and four children born in Hallowell by his second wife.

Edward was b. ca. 1727 Georgetown (now Phippsburg) & d. before Aug. 1, 1804 Hallowell. He m. Mary Ann HEAL intentions recorded Dec. 18, 1758 Georgetown (now Woolwich). Edward & Mary had thirteen children.

Isaac was b. ca. 1721 Georgetown (now Small Point) & d. Jan. 31, 1809 Augusta. He m. Isabella AUSTIN on Sept. 5, 1750 Georgetown (now Woolwich). Isaac & Isabella had ten children.

James Jr. was b. ca. 1709 Colerain, Ireland & d. Oct. 1805 Woolwich. He m. Mary HILTON ca. 1742 Georgetown (now Woolwich). James Jr. and Mary had seventeen children born in Woolwich.

These four Savage families married into the following families: CLOUGH, BOLTON, PIERCE, FLETCHER, COWAN, GORDON, HILL, SWANTON, YOUNG, GETCHELL, PINKHAM, CLARK, CHAMBERLAIN, BICKFORD, BACON, DOE, WILLIAMS, CARSON, BABCOCK, SHAW, INGRAHAM, BRACKETT, PITTS, JACKSON, STONE, LAMBERT, SOULE, MCFADDEN, CARD, TINKHAM, CHASE, GRAY, RING, RUNDLETT, COUILLARD, SMITH and TIBBETTS.
