Sayers in Ireland
v. suzanne sears 7/15/10
by the way: the 1911 Census of Ireland lists Seyers in the Dingle region as CATHOLICS...
The name Sayer is associated globally with being Protestants........from Holland to Belgium to Flanders to London to Bedforshire......
Does this imply that indeed there were two lineages of Sayers in Ireland......
ones that were truly native an unrelated to any Anglos
and one that was indeed Anglo
We can be confident that of some certain Bedfordshire connections: an online DNA sample of Sire with a father from England.....
matches 12 out of 12 to a Bedforshire Sayer and 12 out of 12 to an Irish Sears......
although it breaks down after an 18 out of 20 marker
meaning not the exact family: just same ancient heritage.
So certainly at least one Sayer family line is indeed the same as one Befordshire English line.
But it is looking like there are two lines.
