Searching for those (ever-elusive!) clues that might provide a bit of insight into the Sayles (and, Fetterman) ancestry has been akin to looking for a needle in a haystack.Utterly maddening!

Hannah Rickard (b. 1806) was the daughter of John Rickard and Catherine Ehle.
*Hannah Rickard (b. 1806, New York; died 1882, Medina County, Ohio), married 1) Hiram Sayles in 1825, son of William W. Sayles and Lydia Pearce.Hiram Sayles was born in 1799 in Manlius, Onondaga County, New York, and died in 1858 in Holmes County, Ohio.
