This is Alonzo Canada Sayre, b. 28 Aug 1822; m. 20 March 1845 Lucinda Peckenbaugh, who was born in Crawford County, Indiana, and died 20 July 1875.
Alonzo was Sergeant of Company I, 125th Illinois Volunteers, during the CW.About 1865, he left his home in Medoc, Jasper County, MO to prospect in the mining regions of the West, and was never heard of afterwards.Children:
