Scallorn Family Origins

To the best of my knowledge, no one know for sure the country of origin of the Scallorn/Scallions. However, there is a high probability that it was Scotland or Ireland.
One branch of the family uses the spelling of Scallions today. There are many Scallions in Canada and Nova Scotia and Scallions came to Nove Scotia (New Scotland) early on. Other clues also lead in the direction of Scotland. If it is true that the Scallorn/Scallions were Scots-Irish, then the Scallorn/Scallions would have come from Scotland and settled in the North of Ireland. No proof has been found to date that would substantiate this.
We do know from court documents that old Peter Scallorn/Scallions was born in 1688 and that he was in the Colonies by 1721.
The research continues. Feel free to contact me if I can be of any help or if you have any leads.
