I am hoping some kind soul with Brunswick County Deeds books can do a look-up for me on a deed dated 1805/06
What we know from a Scarborough researcher about 2002 is that he posted a deed " THOMAS SCARBROUGH of Edgefield County, South CArolina on 18 December 1805 conveys his portion of the Brunswick County Virginia estate of his deceased father, William Scarbrough to William Scarbrough II (son, cousin or brother?) Bill of sale proved by oath of Watkins Samford and Charles Lansing 23 December 1805Brunswick County Court 24 Feb 1806.Witness' G. Drummond,William Samford, and Watkins SamfordBrunswick County Deed Book"Which deed book? We need an exact interpretation of this deed.Does it Identify "william Scarborough" as Thomas Scarborough's father?Does it identify the land transfered as that inherited from William Scarborough I'st Brunswick County will?Does it for sure say or imply that Thomas Scarbrough is a son of william I and that he is in 1805 living at Edgefield South Carolina?
I would send for a copy of the deed if I could just find out where it is listed. Thanks for any help!!
