In the past, I spoke with Mrs McNamara several times.I bought two of her research works directly from her.Unfortunately, she passed away in January 1999 in Arlington, VA.She encouraged sharing her work with interested people.I scanned a copy of the book and have it in Adobe Acrobat format.Unfortunately, it is large (32MB) therefore, will take some time to download.I am in the process of constructing a web-site on which this work will be avail to view or download.I hope to have the site in an "initial" condition by New Years.keep checking back on http://www.scearce.nethttp://www.scearce.net and it will soon be there.Mrs McNamara's book is entitled "Weakley, Scearce, Arnold Families of Kentucky"There are many very helpful things in this work for a Scearce(Scarce) family researcher.Elizabeth's father was a "Weakley."There are some gaps and "best guesses" in the book, but maybe with enough of us sharing, we can fill in some of the holes.I'd like to trace the family back to England (Sussex area, I believe).Mr. Mark J. Scearce of the "Wakefield-Scearce Galleries" Shelbyville, Ky did a lot of research in the past.I haven't looked into contacting his heirs yet to see what they may have.Happy hunting!!
