After a few generations in the United States, the Schauss name evolved to the name "Shows" (rhymes with "cows").You may want to check the "Shows" forum for descendants of Johann Adam Schauss.
But the best online source is Tresa Tatyrek's "Magnolia Manor" web site. Here is a link to the page that lists your Johann Adam Schauss (b. 1704) who immigrated from Albisheim, Germany:

You can follow this genealogy back three generations to Johannes Schauss (1625-1674).You will also see the subsequent Shows generations and find that many of them lived in Mississippi and Louisiana. My ancesters included James Madison Shows and Elijah Pearce Shows in Louisiana.
