My knowledge of Henry Schenk, my 2x great grandpa is good from 1858 when he and his wife came to the US and on to Vergennes, IL.I have descriptions of his boyhood and young manhood. But I have only guesses as to the names of his parents and siblings. From his obit in 1925 there was mention of a nephew 74 years old & living in Germany, but no names.
I have been using for the names of the parents Johann Michael Schenk (1792-1832) and Christine Barbara Glaser (1790-1846) until better research comes along.Records from this couple show their children as Katharina Barbara (1815-1815), Jakob Adam (1818-1899), Maria (1820-1852), Leonhard Christian (1828-1888), Katharina Rosina (1823-1846), Jakob Friedrich (1826-1892), Johann Heinrich (1828-1925) and Christian Gottlieb (1832-1834).Haven't run across a Daniel though.
Whether these are the right people or not I don't know, I got this info from ancestry.com, without the delux membership which allows access to international records. So I am stumped at this point.I go into this much detail in hopes it may help you, or someone will see it & correct it if wrong.Sorry I can't be of much help to you now, but if you want to leave an email & I run across anything, I will be glad to let you know.
