Schexnayder Origins(Scheckscneider)?

I wanted to post this separately from the La Garonne information for the sake of clarity. This is more information I've learned from Jay Schexnaydre.

Henry Albert Schexnaydre's parents name and birthplace were found in the St. Charles Parish Courthouse in the marriage contracts to his second wife.
These documents were abstracted by the late Glenn Conrad who wrote books on St. Charles Parish Courthouse Abstracts and St. John Parish Courthouse Abstracts. You can find these books at most Louisiana libraries with a decent genealogy section.
In the marriage contract, it states he was a native of Brussels in Brabant. (Belgium did not become a country until 1830). Presumably Henry's father's family were of German origin and some church records may exist. But we have no clue of where to look to find them. If we knew precisely those records could be obtained, but as of now we
just have a mention that Henry was born in Brussels.
I have searched the microfilms of the churches in Brussels and have had no luck (that's over 114 churches!).

Unless someone happens to stumble upon the records in a church in Germany or Belgium, we may never be able to make the leap across the Atlantic to continue building our family trees.
