Hi Roger,
I just found out this week that my husband's Grandfather...Edward Schmeichel came from Russia, a city called Czernobrodi.He came in to Ellis Island 9 June 1908 on a ship called the Potsdam, departure: Rotterdam, South Holland, The Netherlands.Does any of this sound familar?
