1897-2006 SCHMIDLIN Olivia B. Olivia B. Schmidlin, 109, formerly of Oregon, Ohio, died on December 13, 2006, in Scottsdale, Arizona where she had lived since 1996. Olivia was born on June 24, 1897, to Martin and Louise Dorothea (Stroble) Ruedy. Olivia was a lifelong member and founding member of St. Mark Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school for 22 years. She was an honorary member and leader of 4-H for 40 years. She was also a lifetime member of the Oregon Historical Society and Homemakers Club. She is survived by her son, James (Marilyn Miller) Schmidlin of Scottsdale, Arizona; grandson, Hal C. Geiger, of Oregon, Ohio; 4 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death was her husband, Clarence and daughter, Loalouise Schmidlin Geiger. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2 - 7 p.m. at Hoeflinger-Bolander Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Ave., Oregon. Funeral service will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
