Penrose F. Eisenbrown, died at Allentown, July 4, 1898. He was born near Allentown, Lehigh County, April 3,, 1831, son of John and Charolette Barbara (Wolf) Eisenbrown. On July 3, 1859 in married in Northumberland County, to Sarah S. Smith, the d/o Jonathan and Sally (Snyder) Smith.
Albert J. Brumbach, was born Oct. 11, 1840 at Reading, Berks County, he married Sarah Ann Dunkel, d/o Solomon Dunkle, of Exter. They had 6 children; Solomon who married Margaret Ermentrout; William who married Edwina Jack; Albert, who married Carrie Esterly; Ida, married Stockton Snyder, both were killed in the Honda wreck, in CA., May 7, 1907' Kate married William J. Ermentrout; Emma married Custer Ammon.
John Philip Strauss, the younger of the emigrant brother, married Anna Margaret Reimer. their 8th child, Christian born June 16, 1760, married Aug 4, 1794, Catharine Schneider, the d/o Joseph Schneider. They had ( as known) Elizabeth and Catharine; The 9th child, John Mathais, was born April 16, 1762, married 1st Magdalena Schneider on May 25, 1790, 2nd to Frederica Gottel.
Snyder, Jefferson (subject) attorney at law, his father was Benjamin Leinbach "Schneider" of Exter. He died in 1860 age 35. He married Rachel Schmehl, d/o Jacob Schmehl and Barbara (Breidegam), his wife was of Ruscombmanor township. She died in 1901 age 77. Children, Adaline, married to Harrison Seidel, Jefferson, Emma Louise, married Henry "Creen" of Phila., Amelia Amanda, died in 1867, Agnes married Jacob Happel, Mary Olvi, married Isaac "Deturck" and STOCKTON, who married Ida Brumback.
His grandfather, David Schneider, of Oley. He died in 1860 aged 69, he married Magdelana Leinbach, d/o Thomas of Oley. They had 7 children; Simon, Benjamin, Joel, Jackson, Rachel who married William Brumbach, Mary Ann, who married Harrison Yoder, and Emma who married Daniel Happel.
Jefferson married in 1877 to Anna Lizzie Iaeger,d/o Rev. Thomas T. Iaeger of Reading and his wife Mary A. (Palsgrove) of Mercersbug.
Charles Wanner Snyder, subject, of Kutztown, was born April, 25, 1852.
Benjamin Snyder, his grandfather, was a shoemaker of Alsace township, but later in life he moved to Kutztown, where he died, Dec. 22, 1817, aged 86. He married Eliza "Binder", whose parent came from Germany, children; John, who married Abbie Strausser; Anna, married George Bossler; Samuel; William, married Matalida Ziegler; Mary, married Fredrick Sellsderf; Sarah married Isaac Zielger; Daniel, married Caroline Bieber.
Samuel B., son of Benjamin, was born March 30, 1817, in Alsace township, Berks County. He moved to Kutztown, he married Lydia Adam, the d/o Jacob Adam, of Perry township. Children; Alinda married Henry Kemp, Harry and Alfred, died in infancy, Catharine who was twice married; Charles W., and Annie who died at age 24.
Charles Wanner Snyder, married on Nov. 27, 1877, Sallie A. Jackson, a d/o Charles and Amanda (Busby) Jackson. Children; "L. Girl", married Albert Lesher and has two children; Annie A., married Wayne Hammel; Grace E., died at age 4; James E., died in infancy; Sadie E.; Mary R.; George C., and Walter E.
William T. Snyder, alderman of the 15th ward of Reading, subject. He was the grandson of Daniel "Schneider"of Exter township, and the son of W.H. Schneider. He died in Reading, Oct. 9, 1905 at aged 78. The alderman's mother was Hannah Tobias, who died in 1865. Children of W.H. and Hannah, Susan who died at age 18, Kate who married John E. Young, Hannah, wife of Howard E. Ahrens, Deborah, wife of Albert H. "Adams",Elizabeth the wife of Charles M. Richardson.
William T.Snyder, was born Dec. 3, 1858, he married July 2, 1881 to Sarah H. Brower, d/o John, of Boyertown. Children; Elmira, born 1882, the wife of John D."Bear", William, John LeRoy.
David Engle Stout, subject, in 1848, married Margaretta Duey, of Phila., and they had 5 children; Emily D., who marriedSamuel E. Kerper; Edward H., married Catharine Kerper; David D.; William H., who married Mary McCoy and Charles E., married Mary "Pidgeon".
His father, JohnStout, was born in Schuylkill Bend in Maiden Creek, township. He married Mary Engle, and had children; Mary, John, Solomon, Esther, Valentine, James, Jacob, David, Caroline, and Alfred.
His grandfather was also John Stout, who was born in Bern township in 1737, died 1801, married Maria Katharine "Kershner" and they had 8 children; George, Jacob, John, Daniel, Samuel, Catharine who married Henry Body, Barbara who married George Snyder and Elizabeth.
His great-grandfather, was John Michael "Staudt".
Thomas A. Boyer, of Reading, he was born there May 1, 1853, a son of Isaac and Mary (Dickerson) and grandson of Thomas of Dauphin County. Thomas A., married Hannah Snyder in 1879, members of M.E.Church.
