Evelyn Arlene Schneider Obit
SAND CREEK — Evelyn Arlene Schneider, age 73, of Sand Creek died Monday, March 24, 2008, at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born July 24, 1934, in Sand Creek, to Earl and Helen (White) Bice. Evelyn was a graduate of Sand Creek High School in 1951. On Jan. 23, 1954, in Sand Creek, she married Walter Schneider and he survives.
Evelyn was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Weston United Methodist Church. Evelyn and Walter had spent the last 14 years wintering in Umitalla, Fla. Evelyn played the piano for the choir at the Old Mill Stream retirement park. Evelyn and Walter were members of the Michigan Supreme Travelers, TTCM - Travel Trailer Club of Midwest, Maple City Swingers, National Campers & Hikers Association and the Lenawee Loafers. Evelyn worked for Dr. Samson and Dr. Stickney, where she retired from in 1992. Evelyn and Walter were the owners of Pete’s Radiator Service for
Besides her husband, Walt, Evelyn is survived by her children, Kathy Waldron Threet of Adrian, Sandra (Henry) Pray of Eaton Rapids, David Schneider of Jasper, Douglas (Cindy) Schneider of Sand Creek; two brothers, Robert (Sylvia) Bice of Adrian and Richard (Sharon) Bice of Sand Creek; nine grandchildren, Nathan (Lisa) Pray, Jon (Vicki) Pray, Sara Pray, Paul Schneider, Beth Schneider, Stephen Schneider, Stewart Schneider, Samuel Schneider and Scott Schneider; one great-grandson, Esek Pray; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter-in-law, Mary Schneider, and a son-in-law, Phil Threet.
Funeral Services for Evelyn will be on Thursday, March 27, 2008, at 11 a.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian, with the Rev. Mark Smith and the Rev. John Brackman officiating. Burial will be in Sand Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian.

Evelyn will be greatly missed by her husband, children and grandchildren and all of her second family in Florida.
