Capt. Peter Scholl lived during the early 1700's near Sommerville in Hunterdon County NJ. He was married at least twice. It is believed his first wife was named Deborah. Some say she was a daughter of Edward and Elizabeth Jarman Morgan, the parents of the Sarah Morgan who married Squire Boone, the father of Daniel Boone.
Others say Peter Scholl married a Jane Morgan, daughter of Edward and Elizabeth Jarman Morgan. I haven't found any evidence for either.
After Deborah died Peter Scholl married Sarah Colyer and he moved to near New Market VA. He had descendants who married into the Boone family. And some say that his son William Scholl was a cousin of Daniel Boone. I'm looking for why William would have been called a cousin of Daniel Boone.
So far as I am aware the Morgans never lived near Sommerville or Readington NJ. Capt. Peter Scholl had his children baptized in the Dutch Reformed Church and it is my understanding that the Morgans were Quakers who would not have looked kindly on a marriage of one of their daughters to a non Quaker.
