SPRINGFIELD - Clarence F. Schuller, 87, of Springfield passed away on Friday, June 13, 2008, at St. John's Hospice.
He was born in Beardstown Jan. 22, 1921, the son of Nicholas and Elsie Frank Schuller. He married Rosetta Weaver in Springfield; she preceded him in death in 1984. He married Julia Allen in Springfield in 1985.
Mr. Schuller retired from F.W. Means in 1984 after 27 years of service. He formerly owned and operated the Top Hat and Silver Moon Taverns.
He is survived by his wife Julia; two sons, Robert L. (wife, Jennifer) Schuller and Jerry R. Schuller, both of Springfield; four step-daughters, Paula K. (husband, Jack) Conrad of Arcadia, Fla., Sharon Horrighs of Orlando, Fla., Linda Tice of Springfield and Karen Durbin of Springfield; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife Rosetta; two brothers; and a sister.
Services are under the direction of Bisch & Son Funeral Home 505 E. Allen St., Springfield, where friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, June 16, 2008. Services will be at Bisch on Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at 10 a.m. with Sister Carol Sue Daniel officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
