Hi,
I talked to my mother tonight. We both figured that Peter Endrizzi must've died young because William, her father, was born in 1900 and there was no Peter then. If Peter was born in 1889, Elizabeth must've been pregnant or got pregnant again right away. So this is a surprise to us.
We don't know anything about an Otto Wedelar married to Elizabeth. My mother doesn't understand this at all.
After Eugenio Endrizzi's death in a Butte mining accident, she remarried Peter Schuller and had Gus and Joe. Peter kidnapped Gus and took him back to Germany, leaving infant Joe. Later, Gus made his way back to the US, when he was a teen.
No one ever knew anything about an Otto Wedelar, which would've been her 3rd marriage. Its very strange, since my mother lived close to her in the LA area.
I wonder if the census could be wrong. Maybe it was a boarder that they counted as head of household or maybe they just lived together as a couple and werent married. ?????
