I found an unofficial census of WW I veterans from 1923 at the State Archives of Michigan for a Carl Henry SCHULTE born 29 May 1894 in Detroit, son of Henry A. SCHULTE and Ada Harvey Schulte.Carl was a student at the Detroit College of Medicine before entering the war.From the War Record part of the file, he was in the"Medical Enlisted Reserve Corp. Dec. 26, 1917" and discharged 1 Februray 1919 the reason being "demobilization".ID # 2679968
From the same source, I also found a John SCHULTE born 5 May 1895 in Detroit, Michigan, son of Henry SCHULTE (deceased) and Mary SCHULTE (deceased).John was a mattress maker both before and after the war.Entered the service at Van Couver Wash., July 2, 1918 and discharged 15 January 1919 at Camp Custer Michigan, the reason "Demobilization".He was a private in the 117th Spruce (?) Squadron.ID #3415389
There is also a Henry A. SCHULTE living at 1344 E. Canfield, Detroit.Was in the Motor Transport #343.No other information given.
None of these belong to my Henry Schulte husband of1.) Theresa SELLMAN and 2.) Sarah maiden name unknown.Any possiblity that they belong to your Henry SCHULTE , son of August SCHULTE and Mary KESSLER?
