J.M. I want to apologize for writing first. I am no relation to you but noticed that you couldnt or didn't know why Michael Schutte had left Germany. You stated he was a machinist for Krupworks. I am not to familiar with German History but if he left around the time of the German Revolution he very well could have left germany for that reason. Then upon arriving in the United States changed the spelling of his last name from Schulte to Schutte. This happened alot especially during WW I and WW II. Over the years I have found alot of different spellings for my last name and after doing some digging around found out what I just told you. They did this to escape political prosecution from the German Government. I have even found out that a couple of German immigrants had instead of just changing a letter or two in the last name, or adding or dropping a letter, had totally changed their whole name, first and last name. Which could really throw a monkey wrench, so to speak, in someones search of their family history. Once again sorry to bother you, just thought you might like to know that.
