My Gr Father came to the U.S. in 1882 with his wife Maria & 1 son William "Wilhelm"? William later changed his spelling to Schultz. He was the only one that changed the spelling. I had talked to his last remaining daughter anumber of years ago and she didn't really know why he changed it. All he told her was that,"It was less Socialistic" whatever he meant by that. They settled in Sheboygan CO. Wis. Gr- Dad Joachim died in Aug 1941 and in his Obit. 3 brothers are mentioned. Fred of Wausau, WI., Albert of Random Lake, WI., & August of Owen, WI. I tried to find the town of Medina on the Wis. map and couldn't locate it. Back in the time when Gr-Dad died the cars weren't as good and people didn't travel as far or as much. I have 1 living cousin left and have asked him if his folks had mentioned any of Gr-Dad' brothers. No help there as he didn't remember ever going to see them. Hope this sheds a little light on your search. If this matches your line I can add what little I have.
