I am in search of the following family while they resided in Germany. I hired a professional researcher but she insisted they are of this family but I disagree since the family book said he went to America but did not show him married with one child which my man did have. This is what I have from my research in America: Frederick1 Schumacher b. 2 Apr 1812 Wurttemburg, Germany d. 31 Dec 1849 Ann Arbor, MI md: Anna Catherine Aferhardt/Eberhardt b. 8 Dec 1808 Wurttemburg, Germany; d. 24 Jan 1875 Ann Arbor, MI ch: Christian2 Schumacher b. 1845 Ann Arbor, MI d. 15 Jul 1886 Ann Arbor, MI md: Jenette Taylor b. Nov 1837 NY; d. 23 Jan 1907 AA, MI ch: Mary Matilda3 Schumacher; b. 1 Nov 1866 AA, MI d. 28 Dec 1946 Jackson, MI md: 27 Feb 1883 William Arsie Crosby *********************************** Frederick1 is also the father of Anna Maria Schumacher who married Christian b. 1828 in the next post to this board. The professional researcher believed that the father of Christian b. 1828 and the father of Frederick1 were brothers but she added a Johann to the name Frederick to make this happen, the Johann Frederick she is suggesting also came to America in 1834 but single. From the American census Frederick, Catherine, and Ann Maria Schumacher all came to the US, I have not found the emigration records to prove this but the 1900 census says that Ann Maria born 1833 Wurttemburg came to America in 1834. The second child, Esther was born in 1837 PA so they may of joined a group there before heading west to Ann Arbor, MI where they appear in the 1840 census.
If you can help in Germany it would be greatly appreciated. Possibly the professional was correct and the family book was not completely filled out but I need something more if possible to prove this. If you may be connected and would like further information or copies of the German records I would be more than happy to share them. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Bushy Hartman
