Does anyone have the J.G Schumm family in GEDCOM format to import into a program?
I found what I believeis most likely the same book in the VW County library.
My Great Grandfather/Fathers side married Emelie Schumm and he as the son of Hannah Schumm and C.F. Germann.
My Great Grandmother/Fathers side was Hannah Schumm (different one) and she married George Merkle.
The tree gets very complicated pre WWII since the Germann's Merkle's, Hofmann's and Schumm's intermarried quite a bit.
My great aunt on my grandmothers side is my 4th cousin once removed on my grandfathers side.
I've lived in VW County my entire life (went to Catechism at Zion / Schumm).I'm building the tree now, but most of the dates are missing. Most of this tree was pretty intermixed between St Thomas, Ohio City, Zion, Schumm and St Johns (now Redeemer), Convoy.Zion Schumm I believe was a founding member of what is now the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.St Thomas was a close second (both are well over 150 year old parishes, still extant today).
Let's put it this way, it takes the genealogy program a while to figure out how to plot the family tree!
Thanks for any info.
