Thanks for the quick response.
I agree that Seabaughs in Mo are probably all related but some sorta decline that assessment.
I have a book that you would probably be interested in having.
Title: Seeback to Seabaugh
1123-1988
It was compiled by Otto Seabaugh of Jackson.
My wonderful father gave me mine in the first publication.
The book has about a 1000 pages.
Just a little intro to the book--to get you hooked.
Christian Seabaugh and Christina Statler had 15 children.
Otto goes back to Europe to give you a history of the family etc. He could not find a record of a Christopher imigrating to America from Germany which he says makes it nearly impossible to pin point where he lived.Otto is leaving this task to future researchers of the Seabauagh lineage to dig into. The earliest known record of a Seabaugh in America on a original tax list for Middletown, PA shows a Christopher Seabough on a tax roll in 1750, occupation hatter and paying rent. (p,11) of Otto's book.
They go from PA to NC than MO to Bollinger County.
There was a Andrew Benjamin b 1889 at Sedgewickvillem1 Jun 1919 to Artie Yount b 26 Aug 1893 d 2 June 1980 daughter of Franklin and Mary Rebecca (Deweas) Yount both buried at Sargents Chapel Cemetery, Bollinger County, Mo.Andrew was in service during WW1.
Well, does any of this connect?
I will be in Orlando for a week--so won't be able to get back to you until the following week.
My father was Pyrtle William son fo William Frederick.I do believe I remember him talking about a UNCLE Andrew but not sure.I sure wish I would have taken the time to get into genealogy before he passed away. There is only one sibling left in his family, a sister in Jackson.
Have a Blessed Day.
Mary
