Bill,
I have just started working on the Sebourn side of the family. This is what I have so far.Samuel Sebourn (born August 1861 in Illinois) married Malinda Conley (born 1870) married 1887.Samuel's parents were Jacob Sebourn, born in Kentucky 3/12/1830 and Cynthia (also known as Cythia) born 1831 in Madison, Kentucky.Jacob was listed in some records as a member of the Illinois Regiment in the Civil War.Jacob and Cynthia were married 9/16/1849 in Laurel, Kentucky.Jacob's parents were;Robert Seaborn (this is where the spelling begins to change, me great aunt confirmed that the spelling did change through the generations)was born in 1802 in Kentucky and Mary Ann "Polly" McClure born 1/4/1804 in Virginia or Harrison County Kentucky.Mary Ann and Robert were married 3/13/1822 in Clay County, Kentucky.Robert's parents were;Jacob Seabourn, born 1752 in Stilesboro, Bartow County, Georgia. He died5/16/1840 in Laurel County, Kentucky.Records indicate that he was a revolutionary war soldier that fought in the Virginia Continental Line.Jacob's wife was Ann Harris born 1773.Jacob and Ann were married 2/25/1799 in Virginia.Jacob's parents were George Seabourn born 1722 in Stilesboro, Bartow County, Georgia. He was married to Grace Greenwood.George's father was James Seabourn, born 1696 in Stilesboro, Bartow County, Georgia. His wifes name was Sarah.
Wondering, how far back have you traced the Gayler's ?I have hit a road block with Jessie born in 1815 in Virginia.
If you are interested in Malinda Conley's genealogy let me know.I have just started working on this.Fortunately, I was able to find quite a bit of information.
Glad to hear from you.
Ann Riley Sutherland
