John Seabrook of "The New Yorker" contacted my wife, Mary Seabrook, also a direct descendant like yourself of Captain Robert Seabrook. However, he wanted only a MALE direct descendant for DNA testing. I think he found only one MALE, namely Jeffrey Seabrook. There are of course many descendants with female Seabrooks along the line with current surnames like Whitmarsh, Gervais, Murray, Hamilton, Clark, Jenkins, Mikell, Whaley, etc. on the right hand side of the Seabrook Family Tree. I have a fairly large number of Seabrooks and Parkers in my Family Tree Maker file. My wife's line in through Gabriel Seabrook (1765-1824), Ephraim Mikell Seabrook (1797-1846), Edward Whaley Seabrook (1830-1882), & Edward Marion Seabrook, my wife's grandfather. What was your line back to Captain Robert Seabrook?
